Grateful Dead Backstage Pass Set of Eight - "The Bus"

A set of EIGHT Original Grateful Dead Backstage passes for the Dead's Sept. 23, 1992 Madison Square Garden concert, and their Sept. 25,26,27,29,30, & Oct. 1 1992 Boston Garden concerts. The eight passes together form a bigger piece of art title "The Bus". (One of the passes is not dated... they ended up not using this pass for tour dates). These backstage pass sets were created by the artist Reonegro from 1990 to 1993 to better fool the increasing fan base who were trying to create fake backstage passes. This is one of 25 of these "puzzle" pass sets created by the artist. Sold with a Certificate of Authenticity from The Autograph Source (Lifetime Guarantee). Museum-quality frame included (not pictured).

And these were the connections between all the ancient civilizations, but as the painting started to develop, the one on the right started to look quite modern, so I think of him as a more modern face, with these ancient connections in the background there. The rod almost goes through his mouth, like a cigar or something; it comes out of his mouth. So that is quite nice, pretty. A little bit of pencil there, rather than charcoal, and then this shape here I painted as a cymbal, a drum cymbal. Like a joke. With all this talk of symbolism, symbols, symbolic, finally I had to put a cymbal in there. For one of these ancients to play. A couple of symbolic trees in the background. I is really an idea of the tribes being connected by something, the thread or the rod that connects us all. The box-set traces the history of Archiv from 1947, when the first recordings were made (Helmut Walcha playing Bach organ works), to a bonus CD featuring selections from the new 2013 albums mentioned above. A complete overview is appended. In between comes a sequence of albums several of which are new to CD from the great names of the label, from Walcha, Wenzinger and Safford Cape, through Karl Richter, Nikolas Harnoncourt and Sir Charles Mackerras, on to David Munrow, Ralph Kirkpatrick, Jurgen Jurgens, to Reinhard Goebel, Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Trevor Pinnock, Paul McCreesh, Marc Minkowski, Anne Sofie von Otter, Magdalena Kozená and many, many more. The list of artists who have recorded for Archiv is truly astounding. 

This is an original-cover box, starting with the austere yellow covers of the 1940s and 1950s gradually giving way to the great historical illustrations and images that featured up to the 1990s, when artists at last began to make an appearance (there were no artist photos in the 1950s!)

My name is Homer M. Gilleland. For over 20 years preceding his death, I Was the personal hairdresser of Elvis Aaron Presley. During my employment as Elvis' hairdresser, he gave me as gifts numerous Items of clothing and personal property. This wine colored velvet bolero jacket was owned by Elvis. The jacket has the Label, Mr. Rays Palm Springs. This was a favorite men's store that Elvis frequently shopped at in the 1960's while he stayed in Palm Springs. This jacket is authentic as given to me by Elvis Aaron Presley during my employment as his personal hairdresser." Homer M. Gilleland, known as "Mr. Gill", cut Gladys Presley's hair in the 1950's at Goldsmiths Department Store in Memphis, Tennessee. When Elvis became famous he asked his mother's hairdresser to cut his hair. Mr. Gilleland cut Elvis' hair until Presley's death in 1977. In April, 2004, a home in Palm Springs, California, bought in 1970 for $85,000 by Elvis and Priscilla Presley was sold for $1.25 million. They had honeymooned in Palm Springs in 1967.
